Hello dear friends. It has been awhile.
The long 10 week term 3 for this school year is behind us, taxes are done, and Ryan's computer is finally working again! Advanced level students have submitted their projects and now have only to prepare for their exams. The last 2 weeks have been an opportunity to catch up with lots of things left undone, and this update is one of those things.

4/2009 - KTM, Nepal - Elijah is not taking these pictures very seriously.

As was mentioned before, since the beginning of the year we've been running a marathon of day after day school. Chandra spending two hours a day assisting the coordinator, and Ryan working full time providing support, maintenance, teaching, as well as making our rounds and meetings with youth group and Bible studies. Your support is making all of this possible.
February was the month that the weather got warmer. The cold of the previous 2 months is not missed. Though now it is getting warmer and if we don't get more significant rains than we have so far our power schedule will not improve much, which means no fans. We hope our power schedule improves!

March was a month of birthdays, Elijah, Alicia, and Ryan all celebrated another year in March which was shared with many friends and colleagues. Under the guise of a party for Alicia & Elijah many of our friends came to help make the party fun for the kids and made it fun for us at the same time. We discovered that a young American couple whose friendship we've really enjoyed are now expecting their 3rd child! Please pray for them, as she has not been feeling well at all. Dysentery on top of pregnancy all with their son sick too. There are many very difficult obstacles for people serving the Lord here.

Health is one of the most blatant of them. Several other "couple friends" are expecting as well. One of them have already headed back to the UK, planning to return term 2 next year. Since he is the other IT teacher Ryan will be teaching all of the classes term one. That is a challenge. The other couple plan to leave in June, soon after us. By the end of the year there will be lots of new babies wiggling around here, and the international playgroup Chandra organizes will have a new supply of troops.
It is true! We will be visiting the states in June and July. Our tickets just got confirmed and the price is
a blessing. Praise God! Most of June

4/2009 - KTM, Nepal - Annual Easter Nepali Christian march. Thousands marched to the center of Kathmandu and other cities around Nepal in celebration of the resurrection! Jivan joonda means "Life Fellowship", this is the local Nepali fellowship we are involved in.

we'll be in Colorado and most of July we'll be in Maryland. If any of you would like to feed us, or just hang out, let us know. We have quite a bit of time allocated for friends and family and would love to catch up. Just please plan to tell us what is going on in your lives, as we're really excited to hear about the last 2 years.

2/2009 - KTM, Nepal - Ryan playing chess with Matt. Matt and his wife Liz have become good friends and plan to work in Nepal for years to come. That is after they get back from New Zealand with their new baby in a few months!

| The process of visiting will mean the work of closing up our place here. We will have someone living here while we're gone but will also need to store away all of our valuables, which is thankfully just a few things. We could use prayer about the process, that we get everything in order and don't forget anything.

3/2009 - KTM, Nepal - Alica the tiger. We had lots of friends come for the birthday party!

The future is a mystery. We have some decisions to make concerning how our time will be divided between family, work, and personal ministry. We also need prayer about that. There are many opportunities that come our way to do some really neat things, but so often we have to say no without even considering them for simple lack of time. It is obvious that no is a common part of a godly vocabulary, it's just not clear when. So we are sorting through our opportunities, the specifics of the season ahead, and seeking God for guidance. Please pray that God will be much louder and clearer than our other motivations.
Last but not least we have a big change in how our finances are handled from now on. We are partnering with ICTA (about the Jamesons @ www.icta.net), which is the organization Ryan first moved to Colorado to work for.

We have close relationships with the team there in Colorado Springs.
Our visions and areas of expertise are very compatible to say the least. We are honored and privileged to be yoked with them. If you would like to know more about their ministry, please visit their website: www.icta.net.
The giving information on this site has been changed accordingly. If you are willing to help us with the move and are willing to patiently endure some trial and error, please try to migrate your giving over to one of the methods described below: Donate.
If you don't need another change just now, relax and we'll let you know when we are sure everything works. If you give by check you can continue to mail it to Ryan's mom at the Maryland address, only now make it out to ICTA, and put "KTM Project" in the memo field.

4/2009 - KTM, Nepal - More pictures of the march, or as one friend called it the Long Easter Trek!

Thank you so much for your faithfulness to us. The family of God is truly a family and in our lives

we have seldom experienced it so clearly as these last 2 years of being faithfully caught month after month in this trust fall life we are learning to live. We have been stretched and pulled in so many ways, from Chandra giving birth in a 3rd world hospital hallway, to Ryan heading off to remote parts of the Country while bearing the responsibility for a class of students. In between are the smaller challenges that just seem to keep coming. God is faithful, we know He put us here, and just now, recollecting, even those very hard things have been for good reason. Again, thank you so much for making this possible. We appreciate you!
