Dear Family and Friends,
December 2011 finds the Jamesons in Pueblo, Colorado. Out of Nepal for 15 months, and back in America for 9 months. It is overwhelming to think of how much God has blessed us through all our transitions. Since Selah was born in July 2010, we have stayed in 6 different homes, in 3 different countries with 3 different languages and alphabets. In many ways this was incredibly difficult and stretched us to our limits. But in other ways, our capacity increased to handle the situations we faced.
There were times we feared how our kids would fare with so much change, but God is always faithful to give us what we need, and He always supplied places to stay, food, friends, and love and support from expected and unexpected sources alike. If we would have known 18 months ago we would be out of Nepal and back in America, I don't think we would have been willing. But God blessed us with a slower transition, with Thailand in the middle to go through closure and debriefing of sorts for leaving Nepal, and time to prepare for coming back to the US. Will we be overseas in the future? We don't know. We are more than willing if God shows us that is His direction for us. But as for now, it seems as if we are to be here for awhile.

Ryan is now employed as a Business Intelligence Specialist. Ryan is enjoying the work he is doing, and loving his co-workers and the way the offices and systems function. The familiarity of work environment and lack of business stress is a welcome respite, as Ryan was often under high stress overseas due to cultural miscommunication, systems failing, and unreliable electricity and hardware. It is good to see Ryan more relaxed and able to get ahead.
Chandra is busy as ever, trying to recreate home again. She is relearning how to cook, clean, launder, chauffer, educate, etc. in America again, as it is so different each place we've lived! She is trying to get the kids and the whole family in a familiar routine in our new environment.
As a new step for us, we are pursuing becoming foster parents. We have only just begun to contact agencies, but hope to become certified and welcome children in need into our home in the future.

11/2011 - Pueblo, Colorado - Alicia's new school is a very good fit.
|
|
| Alicia is in 2nd grade at Fountain International Magnet School, which has an International Baccalaureate program. Alicia is absolutely thriving there. She is excelling in academics, participating in extra-curricular activities, and starting to fit into our culture and make friends. Social and cultural transition has been a bit of a struggle for Alicia up to this point. We are so thankful to see her settling in. We still pray for a few close childhood friends, which has not happened yet. Alicia is getting her feet wet with different activities, figuring out if she likes dance and musical activities, other arts, or sports. So far she just loves everything she can be involved in. Seeing her grow and blossom into a beautiful young lady is such a joy to us.
Elijah is in Kindergarten at Highland Park. As of the last week of November, Elijah has received an official academic diagnosis of physical autism. We are relieved to have a name for the things which Elijah struggles with, and now have plenty of resources to help us and him come up with strategies. Finding the right school for Elijah was quite a struggle, and we considered four different schools, even changing schools once he began. The current school is such a great fit. His teacher and the Exceptional Student Services staff understand Elijah and what he needs in order to accomplish the same as the other students. They have a good grasp on how Elijah functions, and they encourage him to achieve more than he thinks he can, without making excuses because he's "different". Elijah has grown so much since his initial suggestion of a diagnosis in Thailand, and since then we have been able to do much research and try many different methods with Elijah. We are so encouraged by just how much Elijah can do, in spite of sometimes being told otherwise. He is very bright and eager, and in many ways, has more potential than average students, though he struggles with things that many of us take for granted. Elijah's interests are expanding where they used to be very limited. He is becoming more and more willing to participate in whatever is presented to him, so we are anxious to see him continue to grow.

| Micah is 3 and is still at home with Chandra, eager to do "school" like Elijah and Alicia. Chandra plans on informally home schooling him so he can feel "big" like them, but hasn't had time to begin regularly, hopefully in January.
He is bright and takes to things very quickly. He is, however, the orneriest one of the bunch, and has much to learn about self-control. Although it can be trying at times, we are so grateful for who he is and is becoming, and pray we have wisdom to help him apply His passion appropriately. Micah can be very loving, and plays well with his siblings for the most part.

| Selah is 18 months, and still has a very sweet, loving, playful disposition. She's quick to join in the fun with her brothers and sisters, and is tough and learning more and more to take what they dish out. She likes to run everywhere, dance, and smiles with joy when she can get someone's attention.
Alicia, Elijah, and Micah all participated in a musical at our local church program. It was such a delight to see them all participate in glorifying God with other children.
As far as what is happening in Nepal, KISC is doing more and more great things, now looking at having the first Christian University in Nepal for Nepali teachers in the future. They are always in need of more staff, please consider contacting them if you have any desire to have amazing experiences and help extraordinary people!
Our friend Punam, is still having kidney trouble. She is still on dialysis, which is an overwhelming expense for her family. She was in India for a month in preparation for a transplant, but that was cancelled and she had to return home. Please continue to pray for her, that she would be healed, that an opportunity for a transplant would once again surface, and that her family would see her faith in Jesus is her source of strength, and begin to question about Him.

We are so grateful for all of your support in our time in Nepal and Thailand. We could not have made this journey without your prayer support, communication, encouragement, and financial support. We rejoice that you have partnered with us, and we pray God blesses you abundantly. If you would like to continue to support projects in Nepal or Thailand, please let us know and we will give you information on places of need.
We anticipate this being our last update for a while, as we have closed the chapter of our overseas journey and living on support for this time. Please do add us on Facebook if you have not already, and check out our blogs! Chandra is just beginning a blog that will be about what she's learning and experiencing as well as a good dose of cute Jameson kid pics and stories and can be found here: http://thejamesons.org/blog. Ryan's blog is about his deeper theological/political/scientific/intellectual thoughts and is here: http://himalayan.us/blog. Both really encapsulate what we think about, and we would love to have you visit, comment, or even follow our blogs!

The grace of our Lord be with you,
<>< The Jamesons (Chandra for us all)
Luke 11:33-36 33 “No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light. 34 Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are healthy, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are unhealthy, your body also is full of darkness. 35 See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness. 36 Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be just as full of light as when a lamp shines its light on you.”
IMPORTANT BUSINESS:
We are back in the states and Ryan has a great job, PTL. Your prayer support and communication are still important to us, so please do not forget us in your prayers and e-mails. As we have often said Christians should all be missionaries wherever we happen to live, or as this video we love calls us: "TRADERS".

| God is willing, and in the spring of 2007, our family relocated indefinitely to Kathmandu, Nepal. There we serve at a school and have begun to learn the language and culture of a country in transition.
Nepal's transition is not just political, it is spiritual as well. The vast majority of the country, 95%+ depending on who you ask, is a combination of Hindu and Buddhist. The last 50 years have seen tremendous progress in this Country and we want to continue that work.
The school we spoke of earlier needs our help. Ryan serves teaching IT. Chandra is helping as the primary secretary, but with the kids so young it will not be full time for her.
So here is where you come in. The spiritual climate in the whole region wears heavily on Christians here. One couple we met, whose kids graduated from the school, have been there for over 15 years. They have encountered a lot of challenges, but are still going strong. We believe with them that it takes a foundation of spiritual support to free us to succeed. It is a principle God put in place, that we are truly a body. It is our hope that every one of you will pray for us as often as possible in the years and hopefully decades to come.
Matthew 6:21 - "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

| The school cannot pay us to work. Most of the students come from missionary families that survive themselves on the shoulders of their supporters. So we are asking for you to consider allocating some of your treasure to support us. We realize many of you are not in such a position, for you we ask that you pray for us as though you had given us your treasures. If you do support us financially, please pray for us like you have given all you have. Sincere spiritual support is the key to long term missionaries and their success. It is only in believing the Matthew 6:21 (above) and 1 Corinthians 12:12 (the body of Christ) principles that I can rebuke my own pride and ask you to be our partners. Please allow us to climb on your shoulders and go to Nepal to contribute our talents to the move of God there.
The students are nearly all children of nearby ministers involved in medicine, church planting, education, and more. We consider it an honor to help empower these families to stay longer and do more. It will take us years to learn the culture well enough to even begin to communicate well with the locals. So we consider it a double blessing to be in a position to be fruitful as soon as our feet hit the ground. We love the people of Nepal, and we have every intention of being part of local ministry to nationals. It's just great that we can step into this support role immediately. Praise the Lord.

Psalm 50:10 - "...for every animal of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills."
We believe the principle of Psalm 50:10. God owns everything. He can and will provide for us. We just hope to some degree that you, our brothers and sisters, will be the vessels He uses. In that way we will be part of the vine, exactly where God wants us. Leaning on God and you to achieve things we could never do alone.
